Brown paper packages tied up with strings…

So it's Wednesday, and that means another round of random blogging. And we're into our recurring monthly topic of ... favourite things. This month is MOVIES!

My first reaction is... shit! Where do I start. I don't have all day to do this. Cause I love movies, people. LOVE THEM. When I was young, I used to go to the movies for the entire day! A friend and I would get dropped off, hit a couple of shows then get picked up later. But of course, that's when movies were like two bucks or something.

But, I promised myself I'd restrict this post to my all-time most favourite ones. So hold on, here goes.

Okay, hands down my all time favourite movie is WHEN HARRY MET SALLY. Omg... where to start. Not sure if it's the dialogue or the storyline, but damn. I love that movie. The part where they're playing charades and the answer is 'baby fish mouth'... I damn near die every time. Or the part where he's explaining why Sheldon hasn't given her good sex, or why men and women can't be friends. I've seen it so many times, I could act out all the parts. And lest we forget the infamous dinner scene and orgasm. Just too funny.

Another one on my all time list is Galaxy Quest.

Now if you're not a Trekie, then you might not understand the appeal, but if you are. OMG...It's awesome. Tim Allen is brilliant. And the lines... Have you ever watched the show? We'd better leave before someone kills Guy... seriously... it's so funny, you fall out of your seat. I cried, people. Had to watch it again just to hear parts I'd missed because I was laughing so hard. It's one of the best take-off ever! In the history of EVER. When they're pulling the ship out for the first time... I could just keep right on going.

Next up... both Ace Ventura movies.

Seriously. I love Ace. I think I like the second one better. Jim Carey at his finest. And Ace… the way he dresses, walks, talks... and THE HAIR. NO ONE MESSES WITH THE DO! The bit with the bat... They're in my hair...yeah, Ace Ventura is definitely on the list.

I think I'm starting to see a trend here, folks, lol. Apparently I don't have very drama centred choices in movies. Which I'll admit to. I want to be taken away on a ride. I want to laugh my ass off or be on the edge of my seat. I don't want to be scared shitless (not anymore. I used to love horror movies. Now I cringe).

I also have a love for Disney and Pixar. Though my favourite is probably Beauty and the Beast. I know there are tons of inconsistencies and the like, but damn. I do love that movie. Not sure what it is about it, but it's always been my favourite. I also love the Incredibles and Up... OMG... Up is definitely also on this list. Kevin's a girl? the whole talking dog thing... I'm sure I could add a few more on this list.

Oh and one more... the Princess Bride. I loved that movie. So good.

I could list more... like the Indiana Jones movies... though the third one with Sean Connery is my favourite. Or the Star Wars movies. The Avengers could probably be on there, but I'm trying to stick with ones that are classic for me.

Oh, and my favourite Keanu Reeves movie...because I have to have a 'crush' movie in here somewhere... It could be Speed or Matrix, but those are safe. My favourite.. Constantine.

And if that's not enough...he's another hottie pic. See, I didn't forget... God he's young here.

Okay... that's it for me. Please hop on over to the other gals as they give a list of their faves.

And... look around, maybe you can find something to make a rudimentary lathe... yeah, I'm with you and it's funny shit right there.
