If I had a million dollars, I'd buy you a green dress…

But not a real green dress that's cruel.'s Wednesday randomness again and this week's topic is... Five things I'd buy with a million dollars. And I know it's no surprise to anyone that I had to quote the Bare Naked Ladies. Hell, with all the teasing I get about my love affaire with Nickelback, I'm showing that I do have other favourite bands. And the BLNs are pretty damn awesome.

But I digress...

So, if I had a million dollars. God, what I wouldn't give for that right now. Going through the bullshit of having to sell a house, I think I've got some ideas, people.

First... let's face it. A million dollars these days doesn't go that far. Seriously. Houses can cost that much. And let's not talk about cars and shit... Damn. But if I had a million dollars, here are five things I'd spend money on... and never think twice about.

1— I don't want to say a home, but yeah, I'd use some of it on a place. Not all. I'm not a fancy person, but we all need a roof over our heads. And there's something to be said about having serenity where you live. I'd love a cottage on the water here...but one of the lakes not the ocean. I'm a freshwater girl.

2— I know lots of people say they'd donate to charities and shit, and this isn't to gain any freaking Karma points... but I'd give to the animal shelters. Not a crazy ass amount. Enough to feed the furry guys for a while. Maybe get some medical attention. I just have a soft spot for animals... so yeah.

3— Ok... let's be honest. I'd buy some shit. Nothing extravagant. I'm not into jewelry or stuff. But some art, some clothes... a Jeep. I know, don't judge. And stuff for the kids... again, nothing that screams stereotypical rich kid, but let's just say there'd be new computers all round. I'm a tech junkie. I'd have some new toys for sure.

4— I'd buy a few services... NO... not THAT kind of service. Though being single… Okay, getting head out of that realm of thinking. I mean, I'd pay for a cleaning service. Maybe a landscaper. That kind of stuff. Cause yeah, I hate cleaning. Hate. It. And gardening... two brown thumbs. I don't find it at all relaxing... just stresses me out.

5— I'd go on a trip... with kids and friends. One hell of a amazing one, and I wouldn't have to worry about the cost. Can you imagine that? Seriously, that'd be the balm people. Not sure where I'd go. Ireland. Scotland. An island somewhere. Just somewhere that's away.

Man, that doesn't look like a very impressive list. Where's the "I'd build an orphanage in Africa" line? Or putting money toward world peace? Well, I'm sure the other ladies have fantastic lists. They'll probably impress the hell out of everyone. Mine is just... well, boring. Ordinary, lol.

Okay, go check out the other ladies... see how they put me to shame... but first... I'll try to make it up to you...

You're welcome. And he can transport me anytime...

  1. Hey - you're better than me - I didn't pick a charity even. :D I like you're list!

  2. I'm wth Bron, I feel like a pooser because I didn't even mention a charity. I was so busy paying off my stupid bills thinking of others didn't even hit me. Ah well, it's you Canadians, you're such giving and thoughtful people. Eh?
